Shirley and I hung around together for awhile. Sometimes she got me in trouble, she was a little on the wild side. She sang "Mighty Lak A Rose" which I had on a 78 record. She had a beautiful voice. I remember her breaking up ceramics and making a picture with them. She was very artistic and talented and left us way too soon.
I talked her into going to Girl Scout camp with me cause I had liked it so much the previous year. It was for 2 weeks in Idylwild and she hated it and couldn't wait to get home. She hated the 5 mile hike.
