In Memory

Nancy Jones (Hayward)

Nancy Jones (Hayward)

There is a new star in the Heavens...
Nancy Jones Hayward dealt privately with cancer for three years, and she passed away on April 6, 2015.
Just as she brightened our lives, now she will light up the universe.
She was greatly loved, and she will be greatly missed.
On September 20th, 2015 a group of Nancy's friends gathered at Newport Beach to share memories and love.  Please enjoy the photos of the weekend taken my Micki Lemley.

Jonesie.......I will always think of you at the beach wearing your visor,  always had your  glass of iced tea and lounging with a book.  Such great memories and fun times.  Thanks for all the laughs. You will be missed.  We hope to make another beach trip and have a celebration of your life...with Margaritas.....Love, Char

Nancy had a way about her-  She saunterd rather than walking she watched quietly never saying a word then she would make a comment that flooded the conversation with dry humor.  She could wear her hair style better than anyone else.  She wore what felt best.  Her dad and my father were friends in Idyllwild.  Both being men of uniqueness and their own style.  I know she is brightening someones day even as we speak.  Great speed to you Nancy.  Our class was better because of your presence.

Jonesie, you were a great girl, loved your dry humor and the friendship you gave to people.  You did bring a lot of light to people, and the sun today, might be you looking down upon us.

My favorite memories were sitting at the beach on our trips that Betsy planned for us and talking about everything. Your perspective was so interesting and different.   We also did a lot of  quiet times just reading and ice tea drinking.   Many good times my friend.  You will be missed by all who knew you. Loved your laugh! There was a lot of laughing when you were around. Wish we could have just one more day there.

I have found it very hard to write to you my friend. So sad to hear of your struggle the past few years. I'm so glad I could be a part of your Celebration of Life at Newport. My thanks to your husband Joe for providing a wonderful look into your last 35 years. You were such a beautiful lady and a dear friend. Thank you for being part of my life.
