I remember the first time I met Mac. It was at a street party when we were Freshmen. He was just the coolest guy. Then I met the rest of his family and loved each one of them. Ma Bale was so cool. They were such a great family. I remember watching Mac play football and he looked so tall on the field. He looked like his head wabbled like one of those football dolls you put in the car. Many laughs throughout school.

I WAS A CLASSMATE OF MAC, AND MY BEST MEMORIES WERE THE GATHERINGS IN THE BALE'S BACK YARD BEFORE SCHOOL AND AT LUNCHTIME. MA BALE WAS THE MOST GRACIOUS PERSON I MET WHEN I MOVED TO HEMET IN 1960. MY COUSIN GLEN ROSANBALM INTRODUCED ME TO THE BALES ON MY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. MA BALE WAS LIKE A SECOND MOM TO EVERYONE THAT CAME OVER. SHE WOULD EVEN LET US FIX OUR LUNCH IN HER KITCHEN. ONE MEMORABLE DAY WAS WHEN MAC AND THE GUYS WERE HANGING IN THE BACK YARD AND DECIDED TO SEE IF THE OLD MODEL T TRUCK HE HAD WOULD START. AFTER TINKERING AROUND, DRIPPIN' A LITTLE GAS IN THE CYLINDERS IT FIRED UP. THE ALLEY BEHIND BALE'S HOUSE WAS ALSO THE USUAL FIGHT LOCATION. WHEN SOMEONE GOT INTO IT AT SCHOOL, 9 TIMES OUT OF 10 IT WAS "I'LL MEET YOU IN BALE'S ALLEY AT 3 OCLOCK". EVEN HAD ONE THERE MYSELF. I PUT A PRETTY GOOD BRUISE ON DONNY MILLER'S HAND WITH MY EYE. LOL. IN CLOSING, DWIGHT AND MAC WILL BE MISSED. I WAS SO SADDENED WHEN I FOUND OUT JUST 3YEARS AGO, AND I HAVEN'T SEE THEM SINCE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL. GOD BLESS YOU MA BALE
